Are you a local company or a franchise?
Above the Standard is a local family-owned company - not a franchise. We actually started our company to put an end to franchise price gouging and offer honest, straightforward cleaning prices.
I forgot to move the furniture. Can you help?
Yes, our crews can offer furniture moving service at a reasonable price. It’s $80 for one full hour and includes removal and replacement of furniture with foam blocks underneath. There is a $25 minimum for furniture moving.
Should I vacuum before your crew arrives?
While it is not required, a light vacuuming of the high-traffic areas of your carpet can assist in the carpet cleaning process. This service is included in our Silver, Gold, and Diamond packages.
What do you consider an area when pricing?
We define an area as any space up to 250 square feet - approximately the size of a large garage. This would equate to the average living room with a living room/dining room combination being considered two areas.
How long does carpet take to dry after cleaning?
This is a great question with no exact answer as factors play a role in the time it takes for carpet to dry - like humidity, temperature, and air flow. Normally, we recommend giving your carpet at least 8-24 hours to dry completely.
Why do I need to seal my tile flooring?
Tile is held together with grout which is a porous material. That means it will absorb soil and spills like any ordinary carpet would. Sealing the tile protects it from stains and keeps it beautiful longer.
